The bar you think you bought
Four tiers stack cumulatively. Build Your Own opens at $100 a guest with nothing itemised about what the floor buys. Classic at $110 brings a two-entree buffet, eight salad options, champagne and cider with two bottles of wine per table, sodas and juices through the reception, DJ and MC services, cake-cutting, and that no-host bar. Premier at $140 adds the full open bar with beer, wine and well spirits, six choices of cocktail-hour appetizer, three premium entrees, a personalised cake, fresh floral centrepieces and upgraded linens. So the $30 step between the two tiers is essentially buying the open bar, the cake and the flowers. Elite at $165 adds top-shelf spirits, champagne for toasts, an extra hour, a three-hour photo booth, premium chairs, charger plates, accent lighting and an officiant.
Nowhere does any Wedgewood page state the base number of event hours a package includes. The Elite tier advertises an extra hour of celebration, and there is no published figure it is extra to. Checked: the venue page, all four package pages, the packages overview, then the questions index. This matters because it is the number that makes the per-guest prices comparable to anything else, and without it they are not. Ask for base hours in writing before setting this venue against another on price.
The venue fee is published as starting at $995 an event. A directory gives the real band as $995 to $10,295, varying by day, time and season, which is a better than tenfold spread and the single largest uncertainty in pricing this place. The ceremony fee starts at $1,495. Guest minimums are published by nobody, in any form, and no venue-level rate card PDF exists for this address under either path convention the operator uses for its other properties. The tax rate is stated only as applicable taxes. Get the venue fee for your actual date, the guest minimum for your day and season, and the tax rate, and you can compute your own total. Those three answers are the entire negotiation.
The 22 percent is described by Wedgewood as an administrative fee and applicable taxes will be added. It does not call it a service charge and it does not call it a gratuity. A directory relabels the identical figure as a service charge in its fact box, which is the directory's word rather than the operator's. Nobody anywhere says any part of it reaches staff as a tip. Assume it does not, and ask what is expected of guests on top of it.
Bermuda Dunes is a census-designated place, not a city. It has no council, no municipal code and no special-events office, and the county's noise ordinance governs directly. That ordinance prohibits sound amplifying equipment and live music between 10pm and 8am, and outside those hours requires that such sound not be audible more than 200 feet away. Its nighttime residential limit of 45 dB begins at 6pm year-round, before most receptions start. A directory advertises venue hours to midnight and the Elite tier sells an extra hour, both of which sit awkwardly against that. Amplified music is separately restricted to indoors here, which is consistent with an operator managing exactly this exposure. Exceptions exist by application to the county planning director; whether one is held for this site is published by nobody.
This carries the fullest published pricing on the site, from a chain operator printing four per-guest rates, two separate fee floors and its own wording for the 22 percent. Against that, this address launched under the brand on 15 June 2026, it carries no reviews, refurbishment of the gathering spaces is still planned rather than finished, and not one of its six named rooms has a published capacity. Suits a couple who values a printed rate card and can tolerate being early.
